Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management (GHS-IMR) announced completion of yet another successful campus placement season for the graduating batch 2009 – 2011.
A couple of noteworthy factors in the year’s placements were in steep rise in No. of recruiters and number of new recruiters on campus.

Final Placements

A total of 109 offers were made to the 111 students who attended the placement process. The highest salary offered was Rs. 5.5 Lacs per annum (30% increases over the previous year) and the average salary offered was Rs. 3.35 Lacs per annum (20% increase over the previous year)
Two pre placement offers was made by Apollo Hospital and Rashi Overseas but the students decided to try his effort as an entrepreneur.
A total of 25 companies visited GHS-IMR for the first time such as Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, Future Group , JK Risk Managers, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Gati, Viraj Steels, Communique india , RSPL , RED FM, Prism Cement and many more. More than 60 companies agreed to participate in the process to recruit a batch of 128, with students landing plum offers from the crème de la crème of 28 recruiters.

The Institute has supported entrepreneurship by providing incubation to start-ups at the campus. About 10 students have taken initiative to start their own venture to utilize the skills learned during their learning period at GHS-IMR.

A wide Spectrum of companies was on board for the campus at GHSIMR for the year 2010-2011 From Consultancy to FMCG, then from Home Décor to Steel.

Consultancies and Financial Services dominated the placements with over 40% of total no. of companies who visited campus this year. As year on year consumer durable sector got the most number of offers, followed by consultancies, home décor and lifestyle and last but not the least steel.

We have almost more than 75 companies showed interest and out of which 62 companies visited the campus. As every year we add new companies to our list. We have also seen a revival in our very old recruiters after the slowdown.
