Learning beyond Classrooms

The GHS- IMR model of learning is unique. Here, the students learn more outside the classroom. Through this model of learning, we pursue our mission to produce managers who are ready to take up any challenge. Today, the toughest job of a manager is to take decisions in crucial conditions. Thus, we believe that only classroom teaching cannot make a perfect manager and constantly work towards this direction.


The Learning Module Two- Year Fulltime PGDM

The flagship programme of the institute has its alumni placed at respectable positions in some of the best companies in lndia- The programme was launched in 1995 with batch strength of 60 students. The programme was started to meet the addition demand created for trained managers. The PGDM programme has over the years evolved itself with the changing business and economic environment. The PGDM programme inducts 120 students in each year. The course is divided into six trimesters and two projects, one at the completion of the first year and the second towards the end of the final year. On successful completion of the programme, the student is awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), which has the approval of the All lndia Council for Technical Education, Government of lndia. The autonomous nature of the programme gives the institute the scope of innovation and experimentation depending on the demands created by Industries.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The institute aims at instilling in young managers skills & capabilities indispensable to today's changing global environment The programme strives to nurture in students: interpersonal & communication competencies, commitment to ethical & legal business practices, leadership & team building qualities, capabilities to anticipate & manage changes through practical business exposure, ability to take decisions under dynamic & uncertain situations.


TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Management Education, all over the world, is passing through a paradigm shift because of Globalization, Liberalization & tT revolution. The delivery of management education to students in the new millennium requires a fundamental change in its approach. As experiential approaches are gaining greater acceptance over predominant teacher- centric methodologies appropriate mix of lectures, CD, case studies, syndicate methods, role plays, management games, sensitivity training industrial excursions & group dynamics are used for effective learning.
