In each trimester, there is end‑trimester examination carrying 90 marks in each course.
Each Compulsory/Elective paper is of 3 hours duration at the end trimester examinations. |

The internal assessment in each course carries 60 marks. |

The distribution of marks for internal assessment is as follows :- |

NOTE: Whenever the score in internal assessment is 80% or more (except in papers of quantitative nature), all assignments would again be re‑evaluated by the teachers of the Institute under orders of the Director. |

The minimum pass marks in each individual course and internal assessments 45% separately. |

Only one back‑paper per Trimester will be permitted and there is no provision of back‑paper in internal assessment. |
7. |
A comprehensive Viva‑Voce examination is to be held at the end of 3rd and 6th trimester in case of Full Time PGDM(R) Programme. |

A student who fails to secure minimum pass marks i.e. 45% in each individual course and internal assessment separately would be declared failed. |
9. |
There is no provision for Re‑examination and Re‑valuation in the Institute. |
10. |
The candidates would be declared only as "Pass” or "Fail" in the first five trimesters and first five trimesters and first eight trimester, in Full Time PGDM(R) Programme. Division will be awarded on the basis of combined result of 6 trimesters on the following basis. |

I) Candidates securing 60% and above ‑ I Division
ii) Candidates securing .45% but less than 60% marks ‑ II Division |

No person shall be admitted as a candidate for the examination for any of the part after the lapse of Four Year in case of Full Time and Five Year in case of Part Time after admission to the First Year of the PGDM(R) Full Time Programme respectively (including the Year of admission, i.e. 1 +3). |

Any candidate who has been declared "Failed" will be eligible to reregister and repeat the Trimester programme in the following year. |

Note: In case of any ambiguity, the decision given by the Director would be final. |

The payment due to the Institute will be made by means of Crossed Account Payee Demand Draft payable at Kanpur, favoring "Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management & Research"
On expiry of due date, a fine of Rs. 100/ (late fee) per day will be imposed upto one week. Thereafter the name of the student concerned will be struck off the rolls. A re‑admission fee of Rs. 500/‑ (in addition to fine of Rs. 500/‑) is payable, if re‑admission is granted. |

After admission, the entire amount paid by the student shall stand forfeited except the refundable deposits mentioned specifically. This applies to dismissed as well as withdrawals, voluntary or otherwise in any categories. |
