GHS-IMR has been adjudged as the recipient of "AIMS International Institutional Appreciation Award" for outstanding contribution for AIMS International and Management Education in India.

The first AIMS International Fellow Award was conferred on Dr. Prithvi Yadav, Director, GHS-IMR.
The Award was presented by Mr. BML Jain, Chairman, IBA and Prof Om Gupta, President, AIMS International, Houston, USA during the 6th International conference of AIMS International on Dec 28-30, 2008 at Indian Business Academy, Noida.

GHS-IMR to collaborate with BRISTOL Business School, U.K. The representatives of Bristol business school, University of West of England, U.K. led by Prof. Hugo Gaggiotti, Dean, Ph.d., Department of Organizational Studies, BBS, U.K. visited GHSIMR on 27th Oct’2009 to complete the due diligence process of academic collaboration with GHSIMR.

GHS-IMR continued its unbroken trend of almost 100 per cent placements,for the 7th year in succession, regardless of the increase in the strength of the students from 60 in 2002 to 110 students in 2009 and all sectors in the economy facing downturn.

GHS-IMR successfully completed a consultancy ‘to design a roadmap for Capacity Building of Human Resources and also to design a Comprehensive Training Calendar’ at Kanpur Municipal Corporation.

GHS-IMR, together with the U.P. government and R.K.Devi Eye Care Institute, is actively working on the project of 'Blind Free Zone' at the Bhagpur village, near Shivli.5000 people are to be covered under this plan. Mr. Glene Summers from USA, a forester by profession; visited GHS-IMR campus with Dr. Awadh Dubey, Chairperson R.K. Devi Eye Care Foundation; to discuss the developments of the project.

GHS-IMR won the 4-day Inter-B School Cricket Tournament 'KREEDA'. Gagandeep of GHS-IMR was the 'Man-of-the-Match' and 'Man-of-the-Series'.

Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research (GHS-IMR) took birth under the banner of J.K. Organization Kanpur, in 1995. J.K. Organization has been the vanguard of industrial progress in India, besides fulfilling corporate social responsibility. GHS-IMR was established with the avowed objectives of imparting formal management education, and accordingly with the approval of All India Council for technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.) ministry of HRD Government of India.

GHS-IMR aims at developing technical, professional and managerial excellence, and social and cultural sensitivity. It has also concern for environment, besides management ethics. The academic programs strive to impart management education and equip the student community with more effective techniques and decision-making abilities and also extend impetus to budding manager for excellence in the area of management.
